For many, growing up Catholic provided a rich foundation of faith, tradition, and community. In this class, Pastor Paul—who himself was raised in the Catholic faith—honors and celebrates the beauty, depth, and meaningful traditions that shaped many people's spiritual journeys. He also thoughtfully unpacks both the good and the challenging aspects of that experience, providing a path to understanding how this foundation can lead to a deeper, more meaningful personal relationship with Jesus. Come and find encouragement, honor your faith background, and take steps toward experiencing the fullness of life that Jesus offers.
If you would like to be baptized or learn more about what baptism is, sign up for the Baptism Class on Thursday, April 24th at 6 pm. Baptism is a public declaration of how Jesus is changing your life from the inside out. Your being baptized shows others that you've decided to follow Jesus and allows everyone to celebrate this decision with you. Baptism is your public profession of faith, your identification with Jesus and with the Church. The baptisms will take place during the May 3rd Saturday Service.
For many, growing up Catholic offered a profound sense of faith, tradition, and belonging—yet for others, it may have also come with struggles, doubts, or even negative experiences that left lasting wounds. In this class, Pastor Paul, who was raised Catholic himself, brings a compassionate and honest perspective. He celebrates the beauty, depth, and cherished traditions from Catholicism that have shaped many spiritual journeys while also addressing challenges such as theological differences, guilt, family pressure, and disillusionment some may have encountered. Whether you’re someone curious about the Catholic faith, wrestling with your own complicated history with it, or seeking to understand a loved one who is Catholic, this class offers a safe space. Pastor Paul thoughtfully unpacks both the positive and the difficult, guiding you toward a deeper, more personal relationship with Jesus. Come find encouragement, process your faith background, and discover steps toward the abundant life Jesus promises.
This event is hosted by Good News Global, at The Florian Gardens in Eau Claire. You're invited to the Good News Global 2025 Spring Banquet, an evening dedicated to bringing hope, healing, and restoration to incarcerated individuals in Western Wisconsin. As a Share Partner of Jacob’s Well, Good News Global (formerly Good News Jail & Prison Ministry) is committed to sharing the love of Christ with inmates in Eau Claire, Chippewa, Pepin, Buffalo, and Trempealeau County jails, as well as the NW Wisconsin Juvenile Detention Center. This fundraising banquet aims to raise $60,000 to support faith-based programs that address the root causes of incarceration, including anger management, criminal thinking patterns, building healthy relationships, and overcoming past trauma. Through Bible studies, mentoring, and reentry support, this ministry helps inmates transform their lives and successfully transition back into the community with support in housing, employment, and spiritual growth. The evening will include a dinner and time for fellowship, as well as powerful testimonies from former inmates who have been impacted by this ministry. You’ll hear updates on the life-changing work of Good News Global, and there will be an opportunity to make a financial contribution to support this vital mission. Good News Global is not funded by the government but relies entirely on generous individuals, churches, businesses, and organizations. There are multiple ways to partner with us, including sponsorship opportunities at different levels. Sponsorships range from Legacy ($10,000), Visionary ($5,000), Ambassador ($2,500), Cornerstone ($1,000), Builder ($500), and Partner ($300). Sponsors who respond by April 25th will be recognized in the event program. We invite you to be part of this incredible evening by attending, sponsoring, or supporting the mission in any way you can.
