UW Students:
Join us for our Food for Thought Lunch Series. Over lunch, hear from Christian faculty members at the University of Wisconsin–Madison about how their faith intersects with their academic work. These conversations offer a chance to learn from models of faithful Christian scholarship, ask questions, and consider how your own academic work might be part of God’s calling. These lunches will take place in the Den at Upper House. Lunch is free, but registration is required.
This lunch will be with Dr. Rick Lindroth, Professor Emeritus at UW—Madison and Lumen Center Fellow in the Natural Sciences.
Come hungry, bring your questions, and leave with new perspectives.
Dr. Rick Lindroth is a Distinguished Fellow of The Lumen Center. Dr. Lindroth was formerly a Distinguished Achievement Professor of Ecology and Associate Dean for Research at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His research focused on ecology (including global change) of forest ecosystems. As Associate Dean for Research, he functioned as Chief Research Officer for a University of Wisconsin college with a ~$100 million/year research portfolio. He has been a Fulbright Fellow and is an elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the Ecological Society of America, the Entomological Society of America, and the American Scientific Affiliation.
