Moms INC (Moms In Need of Community) is for moms with children of all ages and stages of life. We strive to provide a Christ-centered time of fellowship and a place to share the joys and challenges of motherhood. This year as we walk this journey together, we lift each other’s burdens and celebrate each other’s victories. We will celebrate “Togetherness” as it is the echo of heaven on earth, where burdens are lifted by many hands and joy is multiplied in unity. It is in true community that we reflect the heart of God, for where two or three gather in His name, there He is in the midst (Matthew 18:20) We will meet the first Tuesday of the month, 9:30 am-11:30 am, September* through May at the Mt Laurel Campus of Double Oak Community Church, Room C22-23 in the Community Building. *Due to Labor Day, the first meeting will be September 9th. You don’t need to attend DOCC to join — every mama is welcome! For more information or to sign up for the Moms INC newsletter, contact Courtney Szollosy, Women’s Minister, at mailto:cszollosy@doubleoakcc.org.

The Bible teaches us that church isn’t a building or an event, but rather the people of God gathered and connected together. It’s us! So growing the church isn’t about having more people but connecting those believers in real relationships. At Double Oak Community Church our CONNECT SUNDAY on April 12 is designed to help everyone feel more connected. Stop by Connections in the Commons, and our Connection Team can help personally suggest some different ways to get involved here at the church. On Connect Sunday we are encouraging everyone to "tase and see" what Community Groups are all about. Each of our groups will have a light breakfast, and group leadership will be available so that you can meet and ask questions if desired. This is the perfect day to invite guests and friends that attend church but not a group to join you for a CG on Sunday morning! Whether this is your first time at Double Oak or if you have been going here for years, we would love for you to wear a name tag. Name tags will b available in the Commons, in the Worship Room and in Community Group Rooms. Don’t be a stranger—church was never meant to feel like a mall or an airport. It should feel like home! Let’s take a step towards deeper connection today as we continue growing together as God’s living family.
5th Graders—Join us for Graduate's Club following the 2nd service, 12:15 pm-2 pm and enjoy lunch, games, and Bible study once a month in the Community Building! We will meet various Sundays, September-May (Sept. 28; Nov. 9; Dec. 7; Jan. 4; Feb. 1; March 1; April 12; May 3). Enjoy pizza and treats plus games and fun. We want it to feel like an exciting privilege to be a part of this, a perk for being the oldest in the Kid’s Ministry. More importantly, we are also going to spend about 45 minutes digging into some of the most important themes of Scripture. We will explore The Bible Project with engaging videos that explain books of the Bible, important Bible words, and biblical themes in plain terms. We will use those videos to build lessons that will help expand your child’s understanding of how the whole Bible works together. Specifically, we will be watching their videos on the Law, the Image of God, Holiness, Sacrifice and Atonement, Messiah, the Gospel of the Kingdom, and the Day of the Lord. We will watch one video a week and walk slowly through what it teaches. This is a partnership between the Middle School Ministry and the Children's Ministry. Sandy and Sydney will both be teaching and hanging out with the kids. The goal is to transition the kids smoothly from Children's Ministry to Middle School Ministry. For more information contact Sandy Stephenson!
