Have you ever felt that you mentally understood that God is merciful, but struggled to grasp in your heart what it truly meant for you? This weekend Raven Moody discusses God’s mercy on the woman caught in adultery, and the mercy He even showed toward the Pharisees who were accusing her. Jesus’ way of dealing with sin is through mercy and forgiveness. Mercy is an unmerited gift, so we don’t have to be perfect to be loved by Him, nor do we have to prove that we deserve it. John 8: 10-11 Jesus straightened up and asked her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?" "No one, sir," she said. "Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin."
