Main Point: Hearing God’s voice requires a willingness to surrender to God’s will and plan for your life. Simple Steps to Hearing God’s Voice Step 1: Is to have no other God’s before him. Christ as your redeemer and Lord. Step 2: Is to put yourself in position to encounter God. To experience the presence and Glory of God. Step 3: Be willing to surrender to God’s will and plan for your life. Note: it doesn’t matter if you are a new Christian or mature Christian, these steps apply your entire Christian journey Pastor’s Thoughts: Surrendering can be hard but it is the key to true freedom to become the instrument of God you were created to be. Surrendering at its core is yielding our power to another. This can feel scary at first. But as we learn to yield our desire for control, we will gain access to God’s strength. Scriptures about Surrendering: Philippians 3:7-9. “I count all things but loss”. I surrender this world, that I may when Christ. Luke 9:23-24. Deny yourself (your will), take up our cross (trials and persecutions). Surrender. Galatians 2:20. I no longer live but Christ lives in me. Surrender We are not our own: Freedom is found in genuine surrender to Christ Galatians 5:13. We are free from laws to earn our way into heaven. Jesus is our redeemer period. Do not use your freedom for unrighteousness rather use it to love and serve others. This is the heart of Christ. 1 Corinthians 6:12-20. Our bodies belong to Christ Your body is a temple surrendered to God. You are not your own, you are bought with a price (the cross) In all things Glorify God in surrender to his will for your life Summary: Have no other Gods, Put yourself in position to encounter God, surrender to God’s will and plan for your life These 3 steps puts you in a position to hears God voice and take action for God’s Kingdom In these last days, as the world draws further form God’s truth, it is important that we hear God’s voice and surrender to it. Jesus died so we can be free from sin and the Holy Spirit was sent to be God’s voice and lead us into his calling for our lives. When you fall in love with Jesus it is easy to say ‘Yes’ and “AMEN”.

Hearing God’s Voices Step 1: to Hearing God’s Voice is to have no other God’s before him. Christ as your redeemer and Lord. Step 2: is to put yourself in position to encounter God. To experience the presence and Glory of God. Note: it doesn’t matter if you are a new Christian or mature Christian, these steps apply your entire Christian journey Examples of putting yourself in position to encounter and hear the voice of God. Find and protect your secret place with God (a place where you and God are alone). Matthew 6:6-7 Faithful attendance in Church. Hebrew 10:25. True Worship unto God lifting the name of King Jesus. Ephesians 5:19-21. Faithfully Read Scripture: Psalm 119:105. Know that the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Our carnal sinful nature does not want to experience God. Romans 8:7-9 Matthew 26:36-43. Jesus was under stress about death on the cross, but no matter the circumstance Jesus never stopped putting himself in a position to hear the voice of our heavenly father. What happens when we put ourselves in position to hear from God? You will hear the voice of God by the leading of the Holy Spirit. Jeremiah 33:1-3. V3. “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know” Pastor’s Thoughts: When you protect your secret place; you are calling unto God When you attend church faithfully; you are calling unto God When you worship King Jesus; you are calling unto God When you read the scriptures faithfully; you are calling unto God When you are putting yourself in a position to hear from God, God will show you great and unsearchable things.
Hearing God’s Voice - Part 1 - No Other Gods

Main Point: Have no other God’s before Him to hear clearly the voice of the Lord through any circumstance of life. No Other God’s Before Him Foundation Scripture: Exodus 20: 1-6. God is clear that we must not have another God before Him. Anything that we think we need for joy and fulfillment outside of God’s will for our life is a God. Outside of Gods will any joy and fulfillment is temporary and ends in destruction. Matthew 6:24. Jesus confirms Exodus 20 by stating that a person cannot have two Gods. When we choose Jesus as our Lord and Savior then we are made new and all other God’s in our lives must be torn down by the power of the Holy Spirit that is within us. John 8:29-47. V47. Those who belong to God will hear God’s voice. The Pharisees could not hear God’s voice to know that Jesus was the Messiah because they had other God’s/interest first in their lives. Unless they repented of having other God’s before the true God, they could not hear His voice or know the will of the Father. Pastor’s Thoughts: If you have a passion or interest that satisfies or fulfills you more than being in the presence of God, then you need check your heart and make sure God is first place. God is a jealous God. The enemy is the great deceiver and He is constantly trying to keep you away from God’s will for your life by offering you sinful and harmful habits to bring you temporary satisfaction. But those who have a heart to put God first, will be empowered to discern the tricks of the enemy and will be able to hear the voice of the Lord clearly. If I’m worshipping something else, I won’t hear God’s voice. Lord, I want to hear your voice and be led by your spirit. Have no other Gods before him Summary: Do you have a passion to hear God’s voice by the leading of the Holy Spirit? Then make sure you have no other Gods. Make sure your love and commitment is to please God the father by the power of the Holy Spirit in the name of King Jesus. In order to advance for God’s Kingdom, we must be able to hear his voice. The sheep know the voice of the shepherd. Regardless of trials and difficult circumstance, a heart that worships God first will hear the voice of God that will bring peace and comfort through any storm of life
