At Grace City Portland we believe that every child is a gift from the Lord! And like any good gift, we also believe that loving our children and caring for them is a responsibility for every one of us to embrace and uphold. Of course, the parents do the heavy lifting, but they’re not alone. As brothers and sister in Christ, we are dedicated to all doing our part in raising up the little ones. Which is why periodically, we set aside a moment during our Sunday service to recognize and celebrate the new arrivals among us. Yes, we’re talking about Baby Dedication Sunday! This is the Sunday when we invite families to join us up front, so that the whole church can be introduced to their children, as well as pray a blessing over their lives in dedication to the Lord. Whether a newborn, an adopted child, or even a toddler who’s never been prayed for on a Sunday morning, we want to make sure that all of our little ones receive a blessing, and that every parent feels supported, as we all do our part as God’s family.
