God expects that we are to do something with what He has given us. The term
ki tisa -- “when you take a census” -- is literally “when you elevate.” Contributing to a sacred cause “elevates” all of God’s people. When it come to functioning in purpose, granite that serves ts purpose is more valuable in the Kingdom than a diamond that doesn’t serve its purpose. ased on this, we should conclude that God gives us gifts/skills/talents/resources that are to be used to advance His purpose.
