It's interesting that during this time of year, the story of Joseph is being read during Hanukkah. The story of Joseph and certain themes converge in the Hanukkah story. We know we are to continue the Father's will in the earth despite opposition. Joseph was destined to be Jacob's heir. In order for people to fulfill their purpose, God's gives us the tools needed to achieve them. Messiah is the light of the world and yet calls us to light. He is the source but it is through his people that He advances His purpose. Gleaning from Hanukkah, He is the servant lamp and source of light. We are the branches who extend the light though we don't generate our own. We receive from Him and continue what He has initiated.
