Join us for a hike through Lums Pond State Park in Bear, DE on Saturday, September 6! We'll meet at Area 1 at 10 AM. The hike is approximately 2.3 miles long. 

You may pre-register but it is not required. This is a rain or shine event unless it is pouring. There is no rain date.

Friendly leashed dogs are welcomed and encouraged!

Be sure to wear sneakers or hiking boots and bring a bottle of water and/or snacks.

About halfway along the hike there is an off-leash dog park. If your dog is with us, and if you would like to give them a little break at that point, we can stop to let them take a dip in the pond. 

Be sure to also bring water for your dog if bringing them.

Our trail wraps around half of the pond in the middle of the park. You do have the potential of seeing deer, birds, turtles, fish and even snakes.

The path is gravel with many tree roots going through parts of it. Please take caution and watch where you step. 

Delaware residents will pay a fee of $4 per car unless if you have an annual pass. Out of state residents will pay $8 per car.
