The prophet Micah makes remarkable predictions about the latter times and the veracity of his prophecy is confirmed by giving the very birth place of the Messiah in Bethlehem. Looking out further in the future Micah also speaks of the coming of the false Messiah popularly known as the antichrist - whose true colors become apparent in the Great Tribulation.
Coming Judgment - Coming Kingdom - Part 1B
May 30, 2019 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • Micah 1—2
Leaders are supposed to be people we can trust to make the right decisions. I won’t bother mentioning Washington D.C. right now, but there is certainly a trust issue in that city. Well, today in chapter three of Micah, Pastor Lloyd shows us that the priests and even the prophets of that day were trading good for evil and misleading God’s people. As we’ll soon see, their actions resulted in serious consequences.

Today, Pastor Lloyd Pulley begins a look at the minor prophet, Micah, and what he has to say about God’s love toward us, as well as His attitude toward sin. We’ll see throughout this book that words are important, and God’s distinctive use of language through the words of Micah are important for us to understand.
The God of Second Chances - Part 2
May 28, 2019 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • Jonah 3—4
On today’s program we’ll bring to a close our verse by verse study through the Old Testament book of Jonah. Stubbornness can be a good quality or a bad quality. If you’re stubborn in your trust in the Lord, for instance, that’s good. But if you’re stubborn like Jonah was, well, we’ve learned that’s not so good. Jonah had everything going for him, but he started trusting his own judgment a little too much, and it led him into several big messes.

Despite all he’s gone through, and all God has done for him - Jonah still wants to go it alone. And as always, the Lord is still very tender and has an appropriate lesson for Jonah.

May 26, 2019 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • Exodus 22:16—23:19
Take a look around you today and you’ll notice that there’s a big difference between God’s law and man’s law. Of course, as Christians, we would rather live according to God’s law, right? But did you realize that according to the Bible, God’s law demands perfection! We’re in the midst of a study in Exodus and we’ve been spotlighting the laws during the time of Moses. Are the laws better today than they were back then? See what you think.

Running From God - Part 2
May 24, 2019 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • Jonah 1—2
Jonah has many great lessons to teach us despite it’s relatively small size. As we mentioned last time, Jonah is more than just the story of a man who was swallowed by a big fish. What happened before, and after that rather amazing event is of interest to us as well.
Running From God - Part 1
May 23, 2019 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • Jonah 1—2
The little book of Jonah is tucked between Obadiah and Micah towards the end of the Old Testament. It’s a book that’s famous for a rather dicey experience Jonah had with a big fish, but there is a lot more to the book of Jonah that that. It’s also a story of faith, deliverance, and overcoming sin.

May 22, 2019 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • Obadiah
Pastor Lloyd concludes his study from the Old Testament book of Obadiah today, and he will highlight the categories of sin that the nation of Edom had fallen prey to. We’ll hear that Edom didn’t love their neighbor Israel. They rejoiced in the failure and fall of Israel, even taking advantage of them in their failure. Pastor Lloyd will remind us that we are vulnerable to these same sins.

Today Lloyd will share an important and timely message from the Old Testament book of Obadiah. It’s been said that an unguarded strength is a double weakness. This was certainly the case for the nation of Edom. This ancient enemy of Israel was economically strong and known for its wisdom and might. Yet the people began to lower their guard and the pride of their hearts deceived them.

Today Pastor Lloyd Pulley concludes his study in the Old Testament book of Amos. The Northern kingdom of Israel was on the brink of Judgment because of their persistent idolatry. Now, God could have just destroyed them for their unfaithfulness. He certainly would have been justified. Instead, He sent them a prophet, and Amos faithfully proclaimed God’s message.
