Over the next two broadcasts, we'll look at what it means to have a savior in Jesus Christ. When you're sick you want a doctor and not some quack - right? Or, when you're being sued you want a lawyer who has actually won a case! So when you're facing death you want a real Savior who has really conquered death and is alive today! That's what we have in Jesus!
David and Mephibosheth: A Lesson on Grace
May 1, 2011 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • 2 Samuel 9
David and Goliath. David, the man after God's own heart. David, the psalmist, warrior, and king.
We know much about the life of David, but have we ever considered him as a model for our own walk with the Lord, right now, today?
Mighty King David sought God. As seen in 2 Samuel 6, David sang and danced before the Lord, even when those of his own household failed to understand him. In fact, when David's wife Mihal, Saul's daughter, mocked his singing and dancing before the Lord, David tells her, "It was before the LORD, who chose me instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel. Therefore I will play music before the LORD. And I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight" (2 Samuel 6:21). Here the king of Israel is seeking the Lord with such humility and brokenness. What a model for all of us!
David also sought to bless others, giving graciously to his friend Jonathan's disabled son, Mephibosheth. David left his throne, again humbling himself, to give sacrificially to one who had no means of paying him back. David even tells Mephibosheth, "Do not fear, for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father's sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your grandfather; and you shall eat bread at my table continually" (2 Samuel 9:7).
Join Pastor Lloyd for this exciting look at the lessons we can learn from the life of David. Be challenged to seek the Lord, and give to others, with David-like abandon!

The Christ and His Bride Part 1
May 29, 2011 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley
One of the reason so may marriages fail in the year 2012 is that we have strayed away from God's carefully defined roles for husbands and wives. Men and women are really different, as I'm sure you've noticed, and God made us that way, so why are we trying to remake our marriage roles? Join us today as pastor Lloyd looks at the roles of men and women in marriage.
The Christ and His Bride Part 2

Anything worth having is worth working for. That's an old expression, and boy, is it true. It's especially true in our interpersonal relationships. Take marriage for example. If marriage were easy and trouble free, it would be kind of boring, wouldn't you agree? Guys, you'll agree with me that women are very different from us. And gals, us guys can be a real pain to live with, right? Well, the plain fact is, God made it that way! And we can have wonderful marriages, if we learn to work at it.
