What did Jesus mean when He told his potential disciples, "Come with Me and I'll make you fishers of men?" It's one of the best known of all of the Lord's statements, but what does it mean for us today? Do you want to be a fisher of men too? Here's Pastor Lloyd in Mark chapter one, speaking of one of the most important aspects of being a Christian - repenting of our sins!
He Touched Me
July 5, 2009 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • Mark 1:21–45
On today's study we'll look at the end of Mark chapter one. It's here that Jesus heals a man afflicted with Leprosy, and immediately tells him to tell no one of his healing. Why? Well, Jesus didn't want the area to be so crowded with people He couldn't get His work done. Unfortunately, this man didn't heed Jesus' words, and soon it was a mob scene.
Jesus, The Great Physician
July 12, 2009 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • Mark 2:1–22
One of the most aggravating things going on in the year 2014 is the world's attempts to redefine who Jesus is, and to redefine why He came to the earth. Today's scripture text is a perfect example of this. The world says Jesus was a peace loving guy, who just wanted everyone to love and accept each other. On the contrary, Jesus came to point out our sin, lead us to repent of those sins, and to ultimately die on the cross for our sins.
Getting It Right in the Heart
July 19, 2009 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • Mark 2:23—3:19
In the United States, close to 75% of the adult population describes themselves as "Christian," according to one pollster. But are they really? Many people, unfortunately, are Christian in name only. It was true in Jesus' day as well, and that's why He shared the parable of the Sower. That will be our topic of discussion once again today as we look at Mark chapter four.

Hope for the Trampled Heart
September 13, 2009 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • Mark 6:1–29
While some Christians, no doubt have the gift of evangelism, the Bible clearly indicates that evangelism is for everyone. Believers cannot relegate the activity of evangelism to a group of so called "specialists." Today on Bridging the Gap, we'll see that everyone is challenged to be prepared, in and out of season, to preach the Word as well as to give an answer to everyone who asks us about the hope we have.

An Issue of the Heart
October 4, 2009 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • Mark 7:1–23
Many of the Scribes and Pharisees of Jesus' day made the mistake of thinking that their traditions and rituals would set them free. Still today, people fall under that deadly umbrella. We’ll see what Christ has to say about that, as our study of Mark’s Gospel continues.
Beyond Boundaries
October 18, 2009 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • Mark 7:24–37
Today we'll once again concern ourselves with two things that go together - faith and healing. Faith, of course, is the cornerstone of our relationship with God. We are saved by simple faith in Jesus Christ as Savior. That faith can also lead to some other amazing things, as we'll see today.

Today on the program, Jesus will teach His disciples a valuable lesson on love and compassion. I'm sure you'd agree both of those are in short supply in our day and age, so we’d do well to hear what our Lord has to say. Here's Pastor Lloyd, with the story of the feeding of the four thousand, in Mark chapter eight.
Up and Down the Mountain
November 22, 2009 • Pastor Lloyd Pulley • Mark 9:1–29
Many of us have wondered what it will be like to see God as He is. We're told, as Christians, that will be a reality one day in heaven. But wouldn't it be nice to get a glimpse of that glory here on earth? Peter, James, and John had that opportunity on a mountain one day and we'll take a look at their experience here on this midweek edition of Bridging the Gap.
