The progressive, postmodern church is strongly committed to the revelation of God’s kingdom here and now, before the second coming of Christ. The main objective of this kingdom is to promote conditions that will ensure happy and contented societies in which people can live together without oppression, exploitation, poverty, disease, conflicts, revolutions, warfare and other negative experiences. They believe in preservation of the earth that goes beyond biblical stewardship.
