Vision Sunday 2024

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)

God’s Vision for Grace Church: To partner with God in transforming people to fully devoted disciples of Jesus to the glory of God.

Grace Church’s Mission: To make more and maturing disciples of Jesus.

Transformation by God comes though:

·      Discovering Christ

·      Discovering community

·      Discovering character

·      Discovering calling

“‘So go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.’ So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, the bad as well as the good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.”

Matthew 22:9-10 (NIV)

All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord's Supper), and to prayer…They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord's Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity—all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people.  And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.

Acts 2:42, 46-47 (NLT)

And yet, O Lord, you are our Father.  We are the clay, and you are the potter.  We all are formed by your hand.

Isaiah 64:8 (NLT)

Suddenly, Jesus was standing there among them! “Peace be with you,” he said. As he spoke, he showed them the wounds in his hands and his side. They were filled with joy when they saw the Lord! Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.” Then he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.

John 20:19-22 (NLT)
