Ridgewood Park UMC is hosting The Grant Halliburton Foundation to lead presentations for both youth (6th through 12th grade) and adults about Depression and Suicide Prevention on April 12. Dinner will be served at 5:30 pm with separate breakout groups for Youth and Adults from 6-7 pm.
Youth will learn positive coping skills, identifying signs & symptoms of depression & suicidal crisis, and helping peers.
Adults will learn about current statistics on mental health and suicide, signs and symptoms of depression and suicidal crisis, intervention strategies for helping struggling individuals, and recommendations for guiding someone to resources and support.
This event is free to attend but registration is required. RSVP by April 6.
