When it comes to identifying and making legitimate law; that law must align with God’s moral law which is universal, unchanging, and to which there is no exception. There are laws which enslave men. There are laws which set men free. The question is, will a people hold to that which is right, good, and true for all mankind because it is the law of God established by the Creator God, the Lawgiver, Judge, and King of the World?
Our Founders held to this law as universal. They viewed these identified rights are coming from our Creator, with these rights being self-evident. As the Declaration of Independence signers said, for the purpose of protecting these sacred rights based on the law of God. Governments are instituted among men. Herein is the direct nexus between God, Government, and Law.

Psalm 1 is the introductory Psalm to the other 149, the gateway to the entire Psalms. It is powerful citing two paths in life. One that produces blessedness and life. The other death. Psalm 1 is for all people of all ages. It speaks to us today. It identifies what the blessed men does and doesn’t do. It identifies what the blessed man will be like and by application how we can be like the blessed man. Also, it identifies what the ungodly or evil man is not. It concludes by saying that the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish. Stay tuned as Sam and Isaac consider the important theme, “Blessed is the Man - Psalm 1”.
