Accelerating God’s Final Plans: American Presidents and Israel - Part 1

June 6, 2021 • Bill Koenig

Sam Rohrer and Isaac Crockett are joined by guest Bill Koenig (White House Correspondent, Founder World Watch Daily) to discuss this important topic by going to the heart of the cause and defining the solution. In 1922 Congress passed Joint Resolution 322. It was signed by President Wilson. That document was in effect the American version of the Balfour Declaration adopted by Great Britain on Nov. 2, 1917. Unlike the more political Balfour Declaration, U.S. Resolution 322 was a Biblical document encouraging a Biblically prophesied Jewish homeland. U.S. Resolution 322 not only encouraged a new state of Israel. But it directly cited prophetical Bible verses from Deuteronomy 30 and Amos 9 directly reflecting the preaching of the pulpits of America and the will of the American people to advance God’s plan. The connection of the United States with Israel has been present in our national ethos since the days of the Pilgrims and Puritans. These early settlers viewed the establishment of the U.S. as the New Jerusalem and Israel and covenanted with God to establish this nation and to be used by God to advance His plan of redemption. That plan hinged on the nation of Israel and the New Testament Church grafted into spiritual Israel as stated in Scripture. Governor Winthrop in America's earliest years prayed that our nation would shine this light of hope and become ‘A Shining City on a Hill’. From that time until now America has played an integral role in advancing God’s plan of redemption and furthering the light of truth and therefore of necessity recognizing and protecting the people of God. The Jews, His Nation Israel, and His eternal city Jerusalem. The incredible nature of our involvement is little known, but it should be known and rehearsed as it relates directly to Biblical Prophecy, the End Days, and the events of our day. Join us as we look at the topic “Accelerating God’s Final Plans: American Presidents and Israel”. We hope you’ll find the program challenging and informative.

In Deuteronomy 6 God told parents and fathers specifically that it was their job to ensure that their children were trained in the fear and admonition of the Lord. He identified both the content and the reason for it. When it comes to the education of the youth, both God and the Devil, the righteous and the evil equally understand the high stakes of this process of education. God identifies the right content, the right process, and the right reasons for educating a child to fear and obey God. The devil and all who reject God have always tried to subvert the content, process, and reason because a virtuous education always leads to freedom, a knowledge of God, and spiritual life through faith in Jesus Christ. A virtuous education always leads to national prosperity, civil freedom, respect, and blessings abundant. America’s Founders used the word ‘virtuous’ to describe the type of educational experience children in a free nation must get if God’s blessing were to be experienced. It was Benjamin Franklin who said in 1750, “Nothing is of more importance for the public good, than to form and train up youth in wisdom and virtue.” Nearly 100 years before in 1682, William Penn of Pennsylvania said, “That, therefore, which makes a good Constitution (societal fabric), must keep it, vie: men of wisdom and virtue, qualities, that because they descend not with worldly inheritances, must be carefully propagated by a virtuous education of youth.” Stay tuned as Sam and Isaac consider the important theme, “10 Principles to National Renewal: A Virtuous Education of the Youth.”

All throughout Scripture God identifies the need for safeguards. In all cases those safeguards are for the protection of people, in some cases from themselves. Certainly, it’s for protection from others as individuals. But it’s also for protection from evil people who occupy positions of divine authority. Who by denying God’s requirements subvert God’s purpose for government to enact justice, praise those who follow God’s laws, and punish those who defy God’s moral laws. To maliciously swinging the sword of government as detailed in Romans 13 to advance injustice and the cause of evil.
