America's Founding: Act of Obedience or Disobedience?

Two Opposing Views

There are two schools of thought on whether America was founded in obedience to God or disobedience. Two well-known theologians are on the opposite polls. Dr. John MacArthur is one that believes that America was founded as an act of disobedience. That the egregious usurpations of King George did not rise to the level of necessitating the separation from England. The other theologian, who believes that they did is Dr. Wayne Grudem. Which one is right? Why?
