This week I will start our series on 1,2,3 John. These are three letters of John that were sent to address particular theological issues in the church. Theological issues are the origin point for improper action. I will start with 1 John 1:1-4.

A New Old Command

This week I will cover 1 John 2:7-17. John tells us of a new old commandment to love others. We must be very careful that we assess our love. We can be deceived and love the things of this world. This misplaced love creates idolatry.

Do You Know Him?

This week I will preach from 1 John 2:1-6. In this passage John encourages the believers to understand the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. There is the physical reality of his death, but John points to the spiritual implications as well. It is that moment which allows people to walk with God.

Walking In The Light

This week we will cover 1 John:5-10. In this passage, we see get additional information on Jesus. He is not just the life; He is the light of the world.
