March 24, 2024 • Geoff & Sherry Surratt • Matthew 6:31–33, Ephesians 5:31–33, Proverbs 17:22, Psalm 78:5–7, 1 Corinthians 13:13
"Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." —Matthew 6:31-33, ESV
Set The Table

The Lord is my shepherd; I have ALL that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to His name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever. | PSALM 23

In the Bible we find the framework for thinking about movement where it restores us to a place of seeing our bodies as a gift from God that we’re to steward, but not as an idol that we’re ultimately trying to find our identity in!
The Heart Of Generosity
August 15, 2021 • Scott Todd • Jeremiah 22:16, Matthew 6:1–4, Psalm 82:3, Proverbs 31:9, Isaiah 58:6–7
“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. —MATTHEW 6:1-4, NIV
