This August, our youth group (Grades 7-12) is heading to Northern California. Pastor Brian Robbins (former pastor of Faith Bible Church 2005-2020) and his church congregation in Susanville, CA, recently planted a new church in the town of Harling, a small former military community of just around 1,000 people (approximately 57 miles from Susanville). Though Sundays see low attendance, the church is beginning to thrive—especially among kids. Each Wednesday, 30–40 children gather for Awana, and there’s growing hope for impact in this town.

Our youth missions team will be staying in Susanville and commuting to Harling daily, to host a Vacation Bible School for children in the community and to work on the church building during the day—cleaning, fixing, and improving the space so it can better serve the people of Harling.

We’ll be bringing all VBS materials and snacks, reusing supplies from our own program, and providing funds to support the building upgrades. This is a big undertaking—so we’re aiming to raise $15,000 to cover travel, supplies, meals, and project expenses.

The trip runs from August 4–11, and includes:

4 days of ministry in Harling (VBS + building improvements)

A day of celebration at a Reno water park

Worship at Pastor Brian’s church in Susanville

An all-church fellowship with the church in Susanville before returning home
