We will be traveling to the small, rural town of Lynch, Kentucky to serve alongside Meridzo Center Ministries. This area is old coal country that has experienced extreme poverty since the coal industry has drastically died down. Meridzo founders Lonnie and Belinda Riley moved back to Lynch in 1999 after the Lord called them back home to minister to the mountain people. For the past 22 years Meridzo has drastically grown and now has 14( all volunteer, support based) missionary families on staff leading different ministries that serve in eastern Kentucky sharing the love of Jesus as well as tangibly providing for families though jobs within the ministry. We will be staying at and serving mainly at the Partridge campus which includes The Stables at Creekside Glenn, Shekinah Village and God’s Creatures Veterinary clinic. This is a trip for anyone and everyone no matter your age or skill level. We love having families come and serve together and can have projects for all ages. Price estimate is $300/ person (can change based on # that come) which will include travel up there, food for the week & lodging.
