Appalachia Service Project is a Christian ministry, open to all people, that inspires hope and service through volunteer home repair and replacement in Central Appalachia.
ASP believes all people should be able to live in affordable, safe, and sanitary housing. Shelter is a basic human need impacting all areas of life for families. ASP addresses this basic need so families no longer need to worry about leaky roofs, soft floors, or unsafe porches and stairs.
ASP organizes mission trips for thousands of youth and adults each year to lend a hand to our neighbors in need in this beautiful region.
ASP works in 20-30 communities across Central Appalachia. ASP leases schools, churches, and community centers to act as summer centers for volunteers and staff. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THESE COMMUNITIES!
MSTAR will be serving with ASP from July 20th - July 26th. Our assigned Mission Trip location will be West Virginia.
A typical work day on the trip will be getting to know families, completing home repairs (roofing, drywall, painting, etc), and showing the love of Jesus to the people in this Community.
All participants must be at least 11 years old AND have completed 6th grade.
Cost: Total cost of the trip will be $375 per person. This includes meals, housing, and transportation. Additional expenses would only be if you choose to purchase snacks/gifts or make special donations. *$200 deposit required at registration or you can choose to pay the full amount up front!
