Brazil Amazon Medical Boat Mission Trip

June 22 - 29, 2024

Grace Church has planned a mission trip to Brazil from Saturday, June 22nd until Saturday, June 29th. This mission team will fly to Manaus and from there board a medical mission outreach boat to serve remote villages along the Amazon River that are only accessible by boat. This team will help provide medical care to people from the villages, provide a fun learning experience for kids, support and pray for people in the villages, and possibly provide other valuable training (nutrition, First Aid, Healthy Living, etc.) based on skills and experience of our team. We are looking for a solid team of people eager to serve and learn, some of whom are skilled in the medical field (Physicians, Dentists, Nurses, etc.) and many others who are not to serve in the villages in a number of other ways. This trip will be in partnership with the Presbyterian Church of Manaus in Brazil. They continue to plant new churches in remote villages along the Amazon River and other places. For years now they have been providing medical care and serving people in practical ways in these villages, and over time they have gained the trust of the people and have been welcomed to start a church in their village. This trip is priced at an estimated $2600-2800 plus the cost of vaccinations, visa, and passport. Space is limited, so please fill out an application if you are interested in being a part of this mission team. We plan to equip you to raise support to help cover these mission trip costs. We are in the process of scheduling an in person informational meeting to connect with each other and further discuss this trip. Part of our plan will be to zoom in leaders from the Medical Boat Mission Team in Brazil to help provide a more detailed understanding and a broader perspective of the scope of this mission partnership with the Presbyterian Church of Manaus.
