Being Ready

August 15, 2021 • D. Kevin Brown • 2 Corinthians 9:1–5

We all enjoyed watching the Olympics and heard over and over “Take your mark. Ready” and then the buzzer or gun is sounded. Being “ready” is very, very important in a race. If you aren’t, you’re beaten before you get out of the blocks. The same is true in the Christian life. We must always be prepared. Ready! But, then we must run the race. Being ready is not enough. We must run the race! Join us as learn how to do just that as we continue our study, “Giving Ourselves First to the Lord.”

Enriched in Every Way

August 29, 2021 • Tim Miller • 2 Corinthians 9:11–15

Did you know that whatever God has given us has been entrusted to us for a very specific purpose? We tend to think that we have the freedom to do whatever we want with our money, but our faith in Jesus Christ gives us a whole new way of thinking about our possessions. Everything that we have belongs to God. We are all stewards of the time, treasures, and talents that He has given to us. Join us as we discover why God enriches us and what happens when we submit to handling money God’s way.

Having Sufficiency in All Things

Aiming at What is Honorable

August 8, 2021 • D. Kevin Brown • 2 Corinthians 8:16–24

The church at Corinth had promised to help their fellow brothers and sisters in Jerusalem who were enduring severe poverty and famine. Unfortunately, the church had not fulfilled that obligation. Making promises and keeping them is a matter of doing that which is honorable. If we make a commitment, we should fulfill it. Jesus said, “Let your ‘yes’ be ‘yes’ and your ’no’ be ’no.’ Join us as we see the encouragement of the Apostle Paul to the Corinthians to: “Do what you say you are going to do,” as we talk about “Aiming at What is Honorable.”
