Are there specific ways that you can be more intentional in the way you live — with the food you eat, with the friends you keep, with the words you use, with the way you spend your money, with the media you are watching, or with how you present yourself?

“Father, thank You that YOU have an amazing plan and purpose for my life. I thank You that the Bible has a LOT to say about how I am called to live my life. I know that You have good desires for me, and You care how I choose to live my life. Give me wisdom on how I can listen to the Holy Spirit and make wise decisions in every area of my life. Thank You for leading me and guiding me. In the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen!”

GOING DEEPER

Read and study 2 Timothy 3:16-17.

WALK IT OUT

If you come across a specific verse in the Old Testament that seems to have no direct application to your life today, be encouraged that God still wants to speak to you through His Word! Read that verse again, and then re-read it. Look up different commentaries and see what Christian scholars have to say about those verses. What are some application steps that you can take away from that verse — even if it seems small and insignificant?

SHARE WITH OTHERS

If you see a close friend or family member discount any part of God’s Word, make sure and encourage them with these truths in God’s Word. It’s good for all of us to be reminded that our Father in Heaven wants to speak to us throughout His entire Word, and not just the New Testament. All of the Bible speaks towards God’s will for us to live intentional lives!
