Encountering the Heart of Jesus: Compassion

March 15, 2026 • Andy Adams • Luke 19:28–44

We begin our Holy Week Journey with a celebration of Palm Sunday! Yes, we will be waving palm branches and remembering Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem a little earlier than normal this year. But more than waving palms, we will encounter Jesus’ heart for people. Jesus wept when he looked over Jerusalem after being welcomed as the coming king. He had compassion on people, people without peace. Sadly, Jesus also knew that they would reject him - the only one who could bring them peace. Join us this Sunday at Troy Methodist Church as we encounter Jesus’ heart of compassion. This Sunday we will also be celebrating a great Upward Basketball and Cheerleading season by welcoming our upward families to our 10:30 a.m. service followed by a pizza party and end of year dodgeball competition!

BLESS: Share Your Story

February 22, 2026 • Andy Adams • Romans 10:14–17

God has BLESSed his people to be a blessing to others. In the month of February we have been challenged to engage our neighbors (and others) for Christ simply by BLESSing them. We Begin with prayer - talking to God about people before talking to people about God. Then we Listen to know and understand others which helps them feel loved. We can continue to bless our neighbors by finding times to Eat together. Then as we are in relationship, we can find ways to Serve them. All of these are very practical ways to BLESS others! They build trust and friendship. But there will come a time when God nudges us to share the “Why” behind it all. Why are you being such a good neighbor? Why are you loving me? Why do you go out of your way to serve me? And you will have an opportunity to Share Your Story - to share how Jesus has made a difference in your life. Join us on Sunday as Pastor Andy shares some helpful encouragement and guidelines for engaging others for Christ with our words!
