Summer Current: Hope
What can you and I do when our world is so crazy and busy? This weekend let's take a bite of hope. What if we could put on hope like a ball cap that protects us from the sun and shields our eyes so we can see more clearly.
This weekend I want to give you 3 important measures you can take to cultivate hope in your everyday life. I will share from my personal experience how God has given me hope in the most difficult times of my life.

It is not easy to be a parent. We live in a world that has downgraded fathers. God doesn't have that opinion. We call God our Father in Heaven. We should take courage in that alone. Secondly, he was the one who makes us fathers. He give us our children. Father's rest in the fact that God is with you.
Children and Salvation are a Gift of God. You are not alone!
Prayer
Lord, I am no longer my own, but Yours. Put me to what You will, rank me with whom You will. Let me be employed by You or laid aside for You, exalted for You or brought low by You. Let me have all things, let me have nothing, I freely and heartily yield all things to Your pleasure and disposal. And now, O glorious and blessed God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, You are mine and I am Yours. So be it. Amen. —John Wesley

We live in and upside down world. We have experienced some much change in the past 50 years. Technology has give us advancements but not all is good. How do we know what to do? Is there something we can learn from King David's generation? David chose some wise men to help him build his nation on God's word and understanding the times.
1 Chronicles 12:32 (NASB ‘77) 32 And of the sons of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their kinsmen were at their command.
The Tribe of Issachar had a difficult start but the had a unique perspective and a prime location which provided a strategic advantage. Let's learn together.
