Every one of these men and women were changed and transformed by their relationship with God. We all want the best. We want God's best too. The question becomes are we willing to give God our best. The Bible reveals again and again the widow as someone he loves and gives His best. He asks His people to care for the widow and the orphan. In the process He watches to see the heart of the widow, the orphan and all of us. God sets the standard of faith again and again in the life of the widows of scripture. Jesus shows great compassion and mercy, setting and example for you and I.

He knew the mercy of God and wanted them to be punished. That is not good but it teach us we have to repent too. We have to repent of avoiding the hard conversations about God.
