Pack Hygiene Kits with HFLA

Join us Sunday, April 28 after our in-person service at SAMOHI as Hope for LA partners with The People Concern (formerly Santa Monica Homeless Shelter) to create hygiene kits for their outreach center. These kits will be delivered to men and women experiencing homelessness near our worship site. Each kit is an opportunity for outreach workers to build trust with the surrounding community. Since all items will be provided through HFLA, all you have to do is show up with a heart to serve! We will gather outside immediately following the worship service to fill kits assembly-line style. Ancient Israel Part Two: From the Babylonian Exile through the Intertestamental Period

We will pick up where we left off last year with the Judeans in exile in Babylon and continue the biblical story through the end of the Old Testament and the last of the prophets. Then we will trace important developments that took place in the time between the testaments and which form the background of important features of the New Testament.

2024 - 2025 CFWLA Framework Fellows

The Framework Fellows Program equips leaders with a reimagined vision of their work’s purpose and its strong relationship to the gospel’s renewing power for cultural transformation. Framework Fellows is a high-impact, vocational discipleship program akin to an executive leadership certificate course, consisting of weekly cohort meetings, in-depth theological study, deep spiritual formation, periodic city retreats, and a capstone project designed to leverage your work for gospel-centered impact and transformation of our city. Join an upcoming VIRTUAL Info Session (5/9 or 5/21) hosted by Executive Director Steve Lindsey along with Framework Fellows alumni to hear about the benefits of the nine-month program, have all your questions answered, and get a glimpse into the heart of this fellowship. HFLA: Volunteer for the Ice Cream Social with The People Concern

Join HFLA at Turning Point Shelter for our monthly Ice Cream Social. We will be prepping sundae bar toppings and serving ice cream to the residents. We'll then sit down with them, eat a sundae, listen to their stories, share your own, and build friendships. If you want to bring homemade cookies or brownies or a card game to play... that's always fun, but not a necessity! We are looking for 15 people to serve. HFLA: Serve Dinner to PATH Residents

We have a group, led by Winnie Yu, that prepares and serves dinner to the residents at West LA PATH (People Assisting the Homeless) on the third Saturday of every month. We need six volunteers each month to come out and serve at PATH, but we have had a hard time filling these volunteer slots. Will you consider volunteering?
