Each week we provide a weekly prayer guide for you to download using Scripture as our guide to ask God to search our hearts and lead our prayers.
In this Discipleship Class, we will explore the foundations and core beliefs of Presbyterianism and apply them to our life together at PCC. Using the Westminster Confession as our guide, we will discuss what makes Presbyterian understandings of God, humans, salvation, and church structure unique and how these beautiful expressions of the Gospel can shape our lives. This Sunday morning class will run 8:30-9:45 am in the Upper Room at SamoHi for 6 weeks, January 26 thru March 9. Special 7-Week Offering of the 6-Week Course This introductory-level Faith + Work course from the Center for Faith + Work Los Angeles includes an extra week dedicated to the Sabbath. Over seven weeks, this cross-vocational course will explore biblically-based topics to help you gain insight into God’s intentions for our work. Together we will explore what it means to integrate our faith and work in meaningful ways, challenge the idols and cultural narratives we face, and address the brokenness of our vocational worlds. We will be utilizing spiritual practices and group discussion in community. Fee: $75
If you are new to Pacific Crossroads or are ready to call Pacific Crossroads your church home, we invite you to attend our next Membership Class. This class will provide an opportunity for you to hear from pastors and staff about our beliefs, history, values and ministries. The next Membership Class will be held on Saturday, February 8 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm followed by lunch at the home of one of our members. This class is for kids and teens in grade 3 through high school. Kids and students often have big questions about God, Jesus, and their faith. Our goal is to help your children build a strong foundation of faith by exploring the key questions they often wrestle with: Who is God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit? What does it mean to be a Christ-follower? How can I be sure that I’ll go to heaven? Why is the Bible important, and how do I use it? What is baptism? What is communion? How can I serve and share about God? This class is timed to coincide with the Adult PCC Membership Class, making it easier for families interested in joining PCC. While this class is primarily designed to help kids and teens establish a firm foundation in their faith, it is also a prerequisite for any kids or students interested in being baptized or becoming communicant members of PCC.
