Each Wednesday evening from 6pm-8pm, Lost Sheep Ministry reaches approximately 120 people under the I40 bridge in downtown Knoxville. We have never missed a Wednesday night serving the homeless in over 30 years, and it's because of volunteers like you! You can be part of this legacy by volunteering your time to serve Knoxville’s homeless community. Whether it is serving a hot meal, handing out a clean set of clothes, praying for a broken person, or having a conversation or two, there is a place for you to serve Under the Bridge. Click the Registration button to sign up today! HOMELESS OUTREACH VOLUNTEER INFORMATION Signing up a group?: Please limit your group to 15 when signing up. If you would like to sign up more, please email us at office@knoxvilledreamcenter.org Age limit?: For security, health, and maturity reasons, you must be 13 years or older to volunteer. All minors need to have a parent, guardian, pastor or leader with them. How to Dress?: Dress comfortable and appropriate for outside weather. Where?: Go under the I40 Bridge (506 Blackstock Ave. Knoxville, TN ) and then turn on Maxine Raines Road to park under the bridge. Click the map for directions. What Time?: Volunteers need to arrive at 6:00 PM. The program will start at 6:30 PM. When I arrive?: Check in at the "sign in" table, you will then be given a task to work for the evening. Volunteer task?: We provide a service, clothing, hot meal, and other assistance on special occasions. You will be placed in one of these areas for the night, as well as help with set up and clean up. Inclement weather policy?: If the weather is unsafe for our volunteers to travel in we will cancel all programs.
