Join us as United Adoration partners with Carson Newman University to offer our first retreat in Jefferson City, Tennessee! Author and poet Janna Barber and songwriter and poet Adam Whipple (a CN alumnus!) guide writers and musicians through a workshop-style, Spirit-led setting of crafting prose, poetry, and song.
Borrowing an idea from Dorothy Sayers, part of being made in the Image of God is being creative. Because the Lord is creative, so are we! We welcome artists of all disciplines and skill levels to this retreat, and we'll spend time collaborating with others and sharing our work. Listeners and readers are a wonderful resources as writers, and at UA retreats, we love providing a safe space and resource as artists work through their creative process!
This retreat is open both to students at Carson Newman University, and to the community at large. We are always happy for a cross-pollination between artists of different backgrounds.
We will meet at the Appalachian Cultural Center the evenings of Thursday, February 6th, 5-9PM, and Friday, February 7th, 3-6PM.
Dinner will be provided for participants on Thursday evening.
