To celebrate the 800th anniversary of St. Francis of Assisi's feast day, we're having a Blessing of the Animals during our regular 10:30am worship service on Sunday, October 4th. Congregants are invited to bring their pets, or an item like a photo of them, a collar or toy to receive a blessing. Knowing the sanctuary will be a little chaotic, we ask that pet owners use their discretion, with whether their pet can handle the environment. We ask that pets remain leashed, in carriers, backpacks etc. and that owners be mindful of pet and congregant boundaries. It will be fully Central, fully chaotic and a beautiful expression of our love for all of God's Creation.

There will be a section of seating in the sanctuary for folks who would rather not sit next to pets, and the service will be livestreamed on our website, app, YouTube and Facebook if you'd rather bless the animals from home.
