Sanctified in Truth - Jesus continues the High Priestly Prayer with an appeal to the Father to sanctify the church. To sanctify is to transform from one degree of holy to a more complete holiness. When God sanctifies, He transforms a person’s soul, spirit, and body completely through a process. God always completes His process of sanctification. Jesus asks God to sanctify the church through the truth, and He defines that truth as the Word of God.
