If you like trout fishing (it's fun) then join us at McKay Park in Jefferson City. You can keep any trout you catch but it is required that you (16 and older) have a fishing permit as well as a trout tag. Children under 16 only need a trout tag. You can purchase this tag at Walmart or online at Missouri Department of Conservation. Keep in mind, weather can be very cold in February, so dress warm. We recommend you bring a folding chair, bucket, stringer, and fishing rod. YRM will provide the hooks, bait and sinkers but you will need to bring your own poles. A spiral rod holder will help but not necessary . You can buy them at Walmart or Amazon for around $6. We will do a group fish cleaning at the back parking lot at YRM later for those interested.
