An exciting new study for the Advent season! “Heaven and Earth” is a six-week study in the Incarnation, the miracle of God in human form. This Advent season, the Trinity Sunday School Class invites you to join us in anticipation of a new beginning of our lives in Christ! Will Willimon’s videos and meditations bring us into a deeper Advent encounter with a God who took the initiative in bringing Heaven to Earth in Jesus Christ, and who does for us what we could not possibly do on our own! We hear the wilderness message of John the Baptist with a new perspective: Advent is all about meeting Christ in our lives right now! How shall we prepare? Class meets in Room 206 in the Hanger building, with coffee and snacks and fellowship! Study guides are provided in the class.

ConnectKIDS

Our ConnectKIDS Ministry provides a foundation for children to start their faith journeys. The children learn a Bible point each week based on a story from the Bible. Interactive games, activities, stories, and songs reinforce the Bible point, providing multiple ways for kids to learn and enjoy themselves. Children stay in worship with their parents for the first part of the service. They are invited to come up front for a “ConnectKIDS Moment,” after which they are escorted to the Kids’ Classrooms by screened and trained volunteers. Parents pick up their child after worship in the Kids’ Classrooms. It's a fun way for kids to learn Bible truths!

Scripture and Spirit Monday Night Bible Class

John Wesley preached that Bible study was most useful when it resulted in spiritual growth and personal participation in God’s plan for the world. That’s what DISCIPLE Bible Study is all about – it’s a personal journey of Biblical discovery, from Genesis to Revelation. Join Dr. Bob Ladner for a 32-week spiritual adventure, examining the ways the Biblical text has reflected the history of Israel and the ministry of Jesus Christ, and the call of God from Old Testament tribalism to a worldwide mission of redemption and relationship! This is your opportunity to experience the whole sweep of the Bible and the call of God’s Word on your life, understanding how the pieces fit together, even the pieces that seem confusing and contradictory! The class is offered in person in Room 123 and through ZOOM on Monday nights. Workbooks will be available, as well as weekly online study guides!

Then join the We Care Quilters as they assemble quilts for pregnant veterans through the Veterans Hospital, as well as teens aging out of foster care. Food Mission @ Chapman Partnership

Kairos Cookie Ministry

Jesus said that if we minister to those in prison, we'd be ministering to Him (Matthew 25:34-40). That message is at the heart of the Kairos Prison Ministry. Prisoners are especially lonely and missing home and their families during the Christmas holiday. We are looking to gather 40 dozen cookies to take to the inmates in Miami-Dade prisons. If you'd like to bake up a batch of cookies, you will be bringing a taste of home and love to people who need it most. Chocolate chip, peanut butter, and sugar cookies are all good options, and should be placed in a clear Ziploc bag. Bring your cookies by 11am on Sunday, December 21, and they will be delivered by Dr. Bob Ladner. Let's "bake" a difference together!
