🤔Sermon Reflection: We explored the tension between scarcity and abundance, seeing how these narratives shape our outlook. The story of Jesus feeding the multitude highlights this, with the disciples' scarcity mindset contrasting sharply with Jesus' abundant provision. Scarcity can breed hoarding and distrust, while abundance calls us to share. We're reminded that God provides more than enough, urging us to consider how we distribute it. In a world of abundance, our concern shifts from having enough to sharing enough, ensuring everyone has a place at the table. Wouldn't it be transformative if every meal felt like an overflowing blessing? Are we truly living into God's abundant kingdom? How can we shift from fearing lack to celebrating and sharing God's provision? 🍞🐟🙏🏽

The Gospels are full of stories of Jesus sharing meals with disciples, friends, and even tax collectors and Pharisees. In one moment he's multiplying bread to feed a whole crowd, next he's relaxing with his inner circle, and then he's telling curious elites stories about even greater banquets. These stories culminate in "the last supper" on the night before his crucifixion; a meal he invites his followers to continue eating long after his resurrection. Join us during the season of Lent, as we explore the rich imagery and symbolism of the table -- and how it speaks to our lives today.
