The Church in Sardis

Many have said God knows the heart. This usually refers to individual Christians, but today we’ll see how God can diagnose churches too. In Sardis, we’ll find a church that looks good on the outside but is spiritually dead. We’ll also see how Jesus says this church can become a healthy and thriving church.

Many people today would characterize the Church as intolerant. The idea is the Church needs to stay in line with the times or culture around us. Today we’ll explore what Jesus says about how the Church should handle sin within the Church. It’s a call to deal with sin and lead people to the gospel!

The Church in Pergamum

The church has always had to answer the question of how to engage and interact with the culture around us. This is the issue Jesus addresses with the church of Pergamum and He gives a clear direction. The call is to stand firm in the message of the gospel, even when it comes with a great cost to the church.
