The Tomb
January 16, 2022 • Matthew 27:62–66
Once Jesus was buried in the tomb, great efforts were made to ensure it’s security. Many of those who had rejected Him feared the disciples would steal the body in order to fake His resurrection. However, inspite of the added security, an angel from Heaven descended amid a great earthquake and rolled the stone away. Upon immediate investigation, all who were at the tomb that day found it to be empty. This discovery produced belief in some, and yet others held fast to their unbelief while knowing Jesus had in fact risen from the dead.
