Discipleship Summit: Spiritual Warfare

September 20 - 21, 2024

Each year, our church strives to set aside a weekend to gather together and focus on growing in some area of discipleship. We desire for the whole church to be involved in this annual discipleship opportunity called our Discipleship Summit. This year, our weekend summit will take place from Friday evening, September 20, to Saturday afternoon, September 21, and we will be focusing on the topic of Spiritual Warfare.

The Apostle Paul challenges Christians to put on the armor of God because, ”our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against evil, spiritual forces in the heavens” (Eph. 6:12). This spiritual realm is rarely discussed and often misunderstood. What is spiritual warfare? How should a Christian recognize and fight the Enemy based on a robust understanding of the gospel? Dr. Chuck Lawless of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary is an expert on this topic, and he will lead us in considering spiritual warfare in our lives, our churches, and our world. This conference is open for middle schoolers and up. Meals along with childcare will be provided with registration.

The deadline to register is September 11th.
