In Ephesians 3:14-19, Paul prays that the precious saints in Ephesus would be firmly established in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ; that they would comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height of His incomprehensible love for them! The intended purpose of His prayer is that they would be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God; that they would grow to be all that God has ordained that they should be. Paul knows that to grow in the Lord, they must be "rooted and grounded in love."
