Join the AAMBC (African American Museum of Bucks County) for a tour featuring stations along the network of Underground Railroad locations in Bucks County. See historic churches, The Harriet Tubman Memorial in Bristol, private homes, and taverns, that served as way stations and tunnels of the Underground Railroad. The AAMBC is interested in sharing this largely unknown and rich history in Bucks County. Lower Bucks stops include Bensalem AME Church, Bethlehem AME Church, Harriet Tubman Memorial Statue, and The Continental Tavern. We will enjoy lunch at The Continental along with a short presentation of the Tavern’s role in The Underground Railroad. Meet at First Baptist Church of Langhorne at 8:30 am to board the bus.
