New Age thinking and practices have become pervasive in culture and Christianity. It's found in Progressive Christianity, NAR, the Word of Faith movement, the prosperity gospel, etc. Have you heard of William Paul Young's The Shack, John Mark Comer's Practicing the Way, Joel Osteen's Speak the Blessing, or Richard Rohr's The Enneagram: A Christian Perspective? How about the law of attraction, oneness, religious pluralism, universalism, or mysticism through spiritual disciplines like contemplative prayer? These all fall under the New Age umbrella. This class will evaluate these teachings in light of God's Word so we can be armed and ready to respond.
