We will be trying a new style this semester by meeting in different homes each month! If your home is open to hosting a book club next semester, let me know so we can get you on the schedule! If you're willing to bring a light snack, please use the checkbox on the registration link, and I'll be in touch.
Your answers will be emailed to you automatically from Google so you will have the addresses (check your junk folder if you don't see it)! You'll also be able to edit your answers from there if your plans change in the coming months.
I have bookmarks for everyone to keep the dates/locations straight. I will be in the nursery this week, but you can stop by the welcome desk to see Chryl for your bookmark anytime after 9:15 this Sunday (1/11). If you can't grab one at church, I will have them at Book Club as well.
January: Once Upon A Wardrobe- A historical read that will cause you to slow down and savor the story. A fictional retelling of C.S. Lewis' life and inspiration for Narnia.
February: Grandma Ruth Doesn't go to Funerals- My most hilarious read of 2025. A women's lit wrapped up in Southern small town chaos and gossip. Grandma Ruth doesn't go to funerals, but she sure does make her presence known. (Same author as The Unlikely Yarn of the Dragon Lady)
March: The Blackout Book Club- A historical women's lit set in WWII. I actually haven't read this one yet, but I've heard great things.
April: The Royal Artisan- I haven't read this one, either, but I am so excited about it! It's Biblical fiction set during the time of Queen Esther. I just loved our study on Queen Esther as a church not too long ago and I can't wait to see how her story is woven through this fictional story. This author is favorite of Chryl's so I know it'll be beautiful!
May: The Atlas of Untold Stories- Well, I guess we are all reading new books this semester because I haven't read this one either. Ya'll will have to be gracious with me if they're not our favorites, haha! This is a contemporary story of a mom & two daughters taking a literary road trip together—and just how much they'll learn about themselves and each other.
