A follower of Jesus Christ has no business playing the victim in this life. The “victim-mentality” contradicts a gospel-driven life—where we trust in God’s sovereignty, goodness, purpose, love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness. Jesus was the ultimate “victim” and yet He didn’t fall into the trap of the “woe is me” mentality. He humbly lived with His eyes fixed on the Father, trusting in the greater outcome/plan.
