Senior Adult Trip to New Orleans

New Orleans awaits you on March 26-28 as we travel to see “The Great Gatsby” on Broadway at the Saenger Theatre! Our trip starts on the campus of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS) as you attend the mid-day chapel service then enjoy lunch in the cafeteria followed by a brief campus tour. Check-in at the Hampton Inn in Metairie is next for a short “freshening up,” if desired, before we convene to Oceana Grill for a 5:15pm dinner reservation then to the Saenger at 7:30pm for the show.
While Thursday is solidly booked for you, “free day” Friday follows for you to do as you please! We have the meeting area reserved for you at the hotel for the day and will provide a list of options and nearby restaurants for you to visit to help take the guesswork out of your day.
We will pack up to head home first thing Saturday morning, stopping for a quick lunch on the way, then arriving back to the church in the afternoon.
The cost of the trip is $300 per person. This includes your hotel stay in a double-occupancy room (be sure to get a roommate!), your ticket to “The Great Gatsby” at the Saenger, lunch at NOBTS, church van travel expenses, and dinner at Oceana Grill. All other expenses incurred will be self-pay.
Registration opens online at http://calvarynet.net/register and in-office Tuesday, February 10, to church members only. In fairness to everyone, we are not accepting early or pre-registrations! We strongly recommend registering online as it opens at 12:01am. Spots are available on a first come, first served basis and will be offered to the first 25 that register. A waitlist will be started should we reach our capacity.
