Herod had the opportunity to do the right thing—but he didn’t. Faced with pressure, pride, and the weight of his reputation, he made a choice that led him away from truth and into darkness. We all face these moments. Will we stand firm for Jesus, or will we crumble under pressure like Herod? In this message, we look at John the Baptist’s unwavering commitment to proclaim Christ, even when it cost him everything. Jesus wasn’t just a great teacher or promoter—He was and is the big deal. His life, death, and resurrection changed everything, and our calling is to reflect Him, not ourselves, to the world. Don’t wait for the moment of trial to decide where you stand. Settle it now. Keep your eyes on Jesus, resolve to honor God in every decision, and stand strong when the pressure comes. The joy of the Lord is your strength—don’t be caught off guard.
