Any dog owner, or any pet lover for that matter, knows that you get the good with the bad. There will be things about that animal that are bad, that perhaps drive you crazy. But the reason we love our pets, and call them family, is because of the many redeeming qualities.

But perhaps the greatest impact on the community and our country, was not the tragic event in itself, but the thousands of people that rose to the occasion to help those desperately in need.
