El Cajon Mountain Hike:
April 12th at 6AM
Join us on a new adventure as we journey up El Cajon Mountain. The 12 mile hike and 3600 ft climb will lead us to spectacular views atop the peak. It will be a great time of fellowship and physical exercise.

The El Cajon Mountain Trail is located in El Capitan County Preserve, in the eastern park of San Diego. To get to the start of the hike, use this address:

(Park on the street if the parking lot is closed or full.)
Itinerary
Difficulty: Difficult with challenging climbs and little shade.
Highlights: 360-degree views at the summit
Distance: Approx 12 miles (Round trip)
Elevation Gain: 3600 ft
Hiking Time: Approx 6-7 hours
Dogs (on leash) permitted
Weather: Hike may be cancelled for extreme weather
What to bring?
Good running or hiking shoes
Comfortable clothing, bring layers as it can get warm
Hat or visor recommended
Hiking Poles (optional)
Water (3-5 liters)
Bring Lunch and electrolytes (we will have lunch at the peak)
